刘中，1969年生于中国北京。法国教育部造型艺术硕士，法国教育部法语学士。中国美术家协会会员、中央国家机关青联委员，现任中国美术家协会外联部副主任，母亲水窖宣传大使。作品曾被选送法国、美国、俄罗斯、埃及、加拿大、西班牙、意大利、挪威、新加坡、日本、摩纳哥、瑞士、芬兰、拉脱维亚、蒙古国等国家展出，并在国内外展览中多次获奖。
2008年7月，个人从艺35年回顾展《自然和谐迎奥运——刘中绘画作品展》被纳入北京奥组委主办的“奥林匹克文化节”并成为该文化节唯一的个人画展，与此同时，文化部2008年北京奥运重点文化项目“相约北京——2008文化活动”也将该画展纳入其中。
2008年8月，应邀在另一个“奥林匹克文化节”系列活动之一和文化部2008年北京奥运重点文化项目《2008奥林匹克美术大会》(Olympic Fine Arts 2008)中举办个人特展。
2009年6月至9月受邀在第53届威尼斯双年展（53eme Biennale de venise）举办《大自然的赞歌——刘中绘画作品展》。这是自1895年威尼斯双年展创办以来，首次邀请到中国国画家举办个人展，也是本届威尼斯双年展唯一一个中国国画家举办个人展。
2010年5月1日至10月31日应邀在上海世界博览会中国元素馆举办《我们的朋友——刘中绘画作品展》。
2011年8月应邀在深圳第26届世界大学生夏季运动会运动员村商业广场文化体验区举办《熊猫的朋友——刘中绘画作品展》该展为大运会官方举办的唯一一个美术作品个人展。
Mr. Liu Zhong was born in Beijing in 1969. He got a degree of Master of Fine Arts from the French Education Ministry. He is member of the China Artists Association, member of the Youth Federation of Central Government Departments, Vice Chair of the International Department of the China Artists Association, and Vice Chair of the General Office of the Beijing International Art Biennale. His works have been exhibited in France, the United States, Russia, Egypt, Canada, Spain, Italy, Norway, Singapore, Japan, Monaco, Switzerland, Finland, Latvia, and Mongolia, and won awards in exhibitions at home and abroad.
Nature and Harmony for Olympics—Liu Zhong Painting Exhibition was included as the only individual art exhibition in the Olympics Cultural Festival hosted by the Organizing Committee of the Beijing Olympic Games in July 2008, and in the“Meet in Beijing—2008 Cultural Activities”，which was a key cultural project designated by the Ministry of Culture for Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. He was invited to hold a special exhibition during another “Olympic Cultural Festival”，activity and a key cultural project designated by the Ministry of Culture for Beijing Olympic Games—Olympic Fine Arts 2008 in August. Praise of Nature—Liu Zhong Painting Exhibition was held during the 53rd Venice Biennale from June to September 2009. That was the first time since the 1st Venice Biennale in 1895 to invite a traditional Chinese painting artist to hold his exhibition and the only such exhibition by a traditional Chinese painting artist during the 53rd Venice Biennale. Our Friends—Liu Zhong Painting Exhibition was held for 184 days from May 1st to October 31st 2010 at the Shanghai World Expo.
